Services Offered
I specialize in tutoring students who struggle with reading and spelling. If you or your child only struggle with reading, you may not need my specialized services. But if they really struggle with a combination of reading, spelling, and punctuation, and have a hard time remembering things like left and right, I may be a good fit for tutoring them. My students struggle to retain words from their spelling lists from one week to the next. They can’t spell when writing sentences and stories – not even those high frequency words like because, friend, and does. They can all read (up to a point), yet they have great difficulty sounding out an unknown word – despite being taught phonics.
I use the Barton Reading & Spelling System, which you can read more about here. A minimum of two sessions a week is required to see improvement through the program. Some students choose to do three or four sessions a week. My typical tutoring sessions are 50 mins long.

Tutoring is offered through an online platform such as Zoom or another comparable program.
